Why this site exists

Several years ago, my wife and I were at a craft fair and bought a couple of bars of homemade soap. After using a bar, I was able to go to the seller’s web site and order more. Then we used those as well, and the next time we needed soap, we bought it at the store just like we always had. I tried finding the web site again, but couldn’t. It occurred to me that if the people selling the soap (a wife and her husband) had offered to send me a bar or two every month, I would have done it. Years later, I would still be buying their soap.

I told other people selling soap and other items like candles, that a system to automatically send their product to customers every month could make a huge difference. Most agreed, but they couldn’t really imagine setting up such a system. I sat on the idea for a few years always wondering why small businesses didn’t do it. Finally I designed a web application that would help.

That application is nearing completion and should be launching soon. You can read more about it here.

While talking to people, I also discovered that most of them seldom thought beyond the next sell. I wanted to help change the way they think about their customers. I talked about websites and newsletters, and again most people thought they should do these things, but didn’t know how to start.

To help, I also wrote a short ebook (about 20 pages) that explains why you should think beyond the sale, and how you can build long-lasting relationships with your customers. You can download the ebook by filling out the form to the right. You will also get updates about the launch of Order Tracker, special offers, and more information on increasing your sales and your profits.

Future plans for this site include forums and communities for people to share ideas and experiences.

If you have any problems, questions, or suggestions, please contact me using this form. I use the form instead of posing my email address because there are programs that do nothing except scan the internet for email address and people buy those addresses to send spam. By using the form, I cut down on spam.

If you read the ebook and have any comments, my email address is included there, and I hope you’ll take the time to let me know what you think.
